South Bank Corporation is a Queensland Government statutory authority that is responsible the for the planning, approval and delivery of all infrastructure and development within the Precinct; owns and occupies the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre; and maintains and improves the South Bank Parklands.

South Bank Corporation was formed in 1989 to redevelop the former World Expo ’88 site and to control development in the adjoining South Brisbane precinct. Since that time, South Bank been transformed into Brisbane’s premier lifestyle, recreational, celebratory and cultural precinct and has won national and international awards for its urban renewal initiatives.
