In addition to the public face of the various members of the PLA, the Association is a forum in which skills, expertise and experience can be shared so that the staff of members can learn from each other as a community of similar agencies.

A program of workshops has been developed to enable and encourage the sharing of skills and expertise. Workshop topics are based upon the economic, environmental and social factors that contribute to the triple-bottom-line.
