Membership Benefits

Full Member Benefits:

The PLA was founded as a forum to facilitate the exchange of ideas and information between public sector agencies that have responsibility for the development, redevelopment or management of places that are significant to the community.  Full membership continues to be limited to public sector agencies only and has attracted major local councils and government agencies.

When you consider the projects for which our current members are collectively responsible, the opportunity to learn from each other and share information is substantial.  Some of the benefits of membership include :

- sharing of up-to-date benchmarking data and templates, resulting in real cost-savings;
- access to research undertaken by member agencies;
- ability to draw on specific expertise and documentation;
- testing of ideas and approaches with peers;
- ability to draw on implementation and design processes;
- and staff within an organisation can have access to differing levels of expertise and centres of excellence across the public sector network, knowing they are being listened to.

The opportunity to meet and discuss both formally and informally within relatively small groups of similar businesses reaps many rewards.  Our members all face similar issues and can share their experiences in dealing with managing the competing needs of their various stakeholders.
